Plant Head -Structural Design, Fabrication, and Bulk Material Handling

Job Title: Plant Head

Location: Hoskote (Bangalore Rural)

Industry: Structural Design, Fabrication & Bulk Material Handling Manufacturing

Experience: 15+ years (Minimum 5 years in a Plant Manager or similar leadership role)

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership

• Oversee daily operations of the plant including production, fabrication, assembly, and quality.
• Ensure the plant meets productivity, quality, and safety standards.
• Manage manpower, material, and machinery efficiently for optimum output.

Production & Planning

• Lead production planning and scheduling in line with project timelines.
• Ensure fabrication of structural components, silos, conveyors, hoppers, and other bulk material handling systems as per design and client requirements.
• Coordinate with the Design & Engineering team for seamless execution.

Quality Assurance & Safety

• Ensure strict adherence to quality standards and compliance (ISO, ASME, etc.).
• Implement and monitor safety practices across all departments.
• Drive a zero-accident culture and ensure statutory compliance with safety norms.

Team & Performance Management

• Lead and mentor the production, maintenance, quality, and stores teams.
• Identify skill gaps and conduct technical training programs.
• Set performance goals and conduct regular reviews.

Supply Chain & Inventory

• Ensure timely procurement of raw materials and consumables.
• Monitor inventory levels and control wastage.
• Coordinate with vendors and logistics for on-time delivery of materials.

Cost & Budget Control

• Optimize plant operating costs and improve cost-efficiency.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, resource allocation, and cost-saving initiatives.

Client & Project Coordination

• Interact with clients, project managers, and third-party inspectors during execution.
• Ensure timely completion and dispatch of client orders.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering or related field.
• Strong experience in steel fabrication, welding, structural assemblies, and handling heavy machinery.
• Proven track record of managing large fabrication units or manufacturing plants.
• Sound knowledge of lean manufacturing, TPM, and quality systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and crisis management skills.
