Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end operations of the food processing plant, covering production, maintenance, quality, warehousing, and dispatch.
Achieve production targets in line with demand forecasts while ensuring efficiency of resources, machinery, and manpower.
Ensure strict compliance with organic standards and certifications (NPOP, NOP, EU Organic, FSSAI, HACCP, ISO).
Implement and monitor quality assurance, food safety, hygiene, and environmental standards.
Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of organic raw materials.
Oversee inventory, storage, and dispatch operations to reduce wastage and ensure timely market deliveries.
Lead and mentor plant teams across production, QC, maintenance, and logistics, fostering discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Conduct manpower planning, training, and skill enhancement programs.
Monitor budgets, control costs, and drive productivity through lean manufacturing and process optimization.
Implement automation, energy efficiency, and sustainable practices in line with company values.
Support capacity expansion, new product launches, and innovation in organic food processing and packaging.
Represent plant operations in management reviews and provide inputs for business strategy.

Requirements:

Bachelors/Masters in Food Technology, Food Processing, Engineering, or related field.
Experience: 8 to 18 years in FMCG/Food Processing with at least 5 years in plant leadership.
Strong knowledge of organic food compliance, production planning, supply chain, and quality systems.
Proven leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination skills.
