Job Description

Role & responsibilities : As the Factory/ Plant Head you will be responsible for the total operations of the assigned business unit. You will be responsible for the efficient and safe manufacturing of quality products in a manner that is consistent with company policies and procedures. This includes providing workers with information, materials, and training, enabling them to produce the highest quality product possible, monitoring records for attendance, payroll, production, safety, and ergonomics, and encouraging the development of ideas from supervisors and employee. You will manage a team of 40 (5 direct, 35 indirect) personnel across technical/ operational/ quality/ finance and supporting functions. You will work closely with the leadership team and other plant heads to develop best practices and solutions. More specifically, you will: Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers expectations. Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets Ensure company policies and procedures are followed at all times Monitor machinery and equipment to ensure they are in good working order The successful candidate will have the following attributes: Strong leadership and managerial attributes. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills Adequate knowledge of business and management Principles (Budgeting, Strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources) Familiarity with Industry standard equipment and technical expertise Knowledgeable on safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes Data driven decision making Ability to create accountability and to lead by example Strong team building, decision making and people management To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications: Qualification: Minimum Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/ Chemical/ Metallurgical Engineer Experience: Minimum 15+ years in Carbon/ Ceramic/ Powder related manufacturing process. Candidates from Andhra Pradesh are preferred. Languages : English , Hindi, Telugu
