Role Overview: The Plant Controller at Vertiv is a crucial business partner to the Plant Manager and Operations Leadership, with the primary responsibility of enhancing financial performance, cost control, and profitability within the manufacturing facility. This role involves ensuring accurate financial reporting, controls, and compliance while providing valuable financial analysis to support operational decision-making. The position requires full-time presence at the Ambernath Plant. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to cost efficiency, productivity, and profitability. - Drive improvements in Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO) & Inventory Turnover (ITO). - Perform cost-benefit analysis on process enhancements and capital expenditures. - Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs to identify opportunities for cost savings. - Collaborate with plant management to optimize production costs and enhance efficiency. - Assist in make-or-buy decisions, production planning, and capacity utilization analysis. - Lead financial reviews on capital investment projects and cost-reduction initiatives. - Authorize plant-level expenditures, identify leakages and wastages. - Responsible for driving Plant level KPIs. - Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for plant operations. - Validate standard Hours, Actual Hours, work hours, calculate Conversion rates, and Material Burden. - Conduct Variance Analysis for under-absorption/overabsorption of Overheads, rate variance for standard versus Actual.
