Role Summary: The role holder will be responsible for independently managing the procurement of indirect sourcing category. The role holder is required to manage the category for Plant/ OPEX / CAPEX/Asset Sale/Waste Management and bring effectiveness in the process. The position will work closely with the Country Category Manager, Indirect India for various organization requirements and projects. The role requires strong negotiation skills to get the best closure as per the cost competitiveness for the organization. The incumbent is required to adhere to the internal costing guidelines. Roles and Responsibilities: 1. Plant OPEX/CAPEX Requirement: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand Plant procurement needs and ensure timely acquisition of necessary resources. Evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate contracts to obtain the best value for the organization. Monitor Plant procurement activities to ensure compliance with company policies and budgetary constraints. 2. Plant Waste Management/Assets Sale Requirement: Work closely with Plant teams to understand process waste needs and ensure timely acquisition of necessary resources. Evaluate vendor/buyer proposals and negotiate contracts to obtain the best value for the organization. Ensure adherence to audit standards and regulations in all procurement/Sales activities. 3. Maintain Records and SIP (Supplier Information Portal): Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and vendor information. Utilize the Supplier Information Portal to manage supplier relationships, performance evaluations, and compliance documentation. Regularly update and review SIP data to ensure data integrity and alignment with organizational needs. 4. Co-ordination and Following Up with Vendors & Plants: Serve as the primary point of contact between vendors, internal stakeholders, and manufacturing plants. Coordinate procurement activities, including purchase orders, delivery schedules, and invoicing processes. Follow up with vendors and plants to ensure timely delivery of goods and services and address any issues or concerns that may arise. 5. Cost Comparison & Analysis: Conduct cost comparison analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies for cost optimization. Analyse pricing structures, supplier contracts, and market trends to negotiate favourable terms and conditions. Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality standards and supplier relationships. 6. Plant/Vendor Visits: Organize and conduct visits to manufacturing plants and vendor facilities to assess operations, quality standards, and performance. Build strong relationships with key vendors and plants to foster collaboration and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Gather feedback from plant and vendor visits to identify areas for process improvement and optimization. Perform image retouching, color correction, trapping, and step & repeat layout preparation. Generate color separations and ensure accurate file-to-plate/cylinder translation. Convert designs into engraving-ready formats (e.g., 1-bit TIFFs) using specialized prepress software (e.g., Esko, ArtPro, Adobe Suite, etc.). Apply distortion corrections for printing substrates (shrink sleeves, flexo wraparounds). Collaborate with engraving technicians to ensure compatibility with engraving machines (e.g., laser or electromechanical). Ensure compliance with print quality standards, resolution requirements, and customer specifications. Maintain organized records of jobs, files, and revisions for traceability and reprints Required Skills & Qualifications: · Proficiency in pre-press software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Esko ArtPro, ArtPro+, etc.). · Understanding of gravure printing processes and engraving technologies. · Strong knowledge of color theory, CMYK, spot colors, and ICC color profiles. · Attention to detail and ability to detect and correct artwork issues. · Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and print specifications. · Experience with RIP software and cylinder engraving workflows is an advantage. · Diploma in Printing Technology or higher/ Also considered similar experience in the similar industry with Basic education qualifications.
