Job Summary: The Placement Officer plays a key role in facilitating successful placements for students and graduates. This position involves building relationships with potential employers, coordinating campus recruitment drives, and providing career guidance and support to students. The Placement Officer will act as the liaison between academic departments, students, and employers to ensure effective recruitment and placement outcomes. Key Responsibilities: 1. Employer Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, organizations, and recruiters. Promote the institution's talent pool to potential employers. Coordinate job fairs, recruitment drives, and industry interaction events. Facilitate the development of internship and full-time placement opportunities for students. 1. Student Support: Advise students on career paths, resume building, interview techniques, and job search strategies. Conduct workshops, seminars, and one-on-one counseling to help students improve their employability skills. Assist students with application processes, interview preparation, and offer negotiations. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to enhance placement chances. 1. Placement Operations: Coordinate all aspects of campus recruitment, including scheduling interviews, managing employer communication, and ensuring that students meet recruitment criteria. Maintain accurate records of student placements, including tracking application statuses and placement statistics. Generate regular reports and updates regarding placement statistics, trends, and outcomes. 1. Market Research and Networking: Keep abreast of industry trends and labor market demands. Continuously expand the network of potential employers and partners for placement opportunities. Research and identify new companies and sectors for student placements. 1. Collaboration and Reporting: Collaborate with faculty and academic departments to understand course offerings and tailor placement strategies to match industry needs. Work with alumni networks to secure post-graduation opportunities for students. Report to management on placement activities, success rates, and areas for improvement. Required Qualifications: Master's degree in business administration along with M Tech (master's preferred). Proven experience in career services, recruitment, or a related field (5 years preferred). Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of industry trends, job market dynamics, and recruitment strategies. Ability to work with diverse groups, including students, faculty, alumni, and employers. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and placement management software. Desired Skills: Experience in organizing job fairs and recruitment events. Familiarity with online job portals and social media platforms for recruitment. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Motivated, proactive, and results-oriented mindset. Additional Information: Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required based on recruitment events and interviews. Travel to employer sites and networking events may be required
