Piping Design Engineer

As a Mechanical Engineer in our team, your role involves developing mechanical design calculations and equipment sizing for various water/wastewater treatment equipment such as pumps, blowers, compressors, valves, pipelines, clarifiers, and filters. You will be responsible for preparing P&IDs, GA drawings, and equipment layout drawings. Additionally, you will select materials and components based on process requirements, pressure ratings, corrosion resistance, and relevant standards. Your coordination with civil, electrical, and process engineers is crucial to ensure seamless design integration across disciplines. You will review vendor drawings, technical offers, and ensure compliance with project specifications. Supporting procurement and fabrication activities, participating in design reviews, HAZOPs, and value engineering sessions are also part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree preferred) - 3-8 years of experience in design and engineering of water/wastewater treatment plants, RO systems, or EPC projects - Strong knowledge of hydraulic design principles, pump and pipeline sizing, pressure vessel and piping design codes (ASME, API, IS), 2D and 3D CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent) - Experience with software such as EPANET, PipeFlow Expert, or Caepipe (preferred) - Familiarity with project execution processes, tendering, and vendor management - Excellent communication and report writing skills The company provides benefits such as food, leave encashment, paid time off, and provident fund.
