Piping Design Engineer

• Preparation and review of various general arrangements, piping and fabrication drawings.
• Piping drawings preparation as per Client & Project related requirement, review, coordinate with Clients for submissions of drawings and related approvals.
• Collaborate with the workshop team to provide fabrication shop drawings.
• Work with the site/project execution team to ensure required drawings are made available.
• Liaise with internal and other departments within the organization to ensure accurate design presentation to the clients.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Design and Engineering of onshore/cross country pipelines for oil and gas industries.
• Design as per applicable codes and standards; ASME 31.3/31.4/31.8 & API, ASME & ISO standards.
• Perform pipeline design calculation including: (ASME Section VIII Div I & ASME 31.3/31.4/31.8)
• Wall thickness calculations.
• Pressure vessel stress analysis.
• Pressure temperature stress check internal and external.
• Material selection based on the pipeline parameters.

Preferred candidate profile

• 5-6 years of experience in mechanical drafting or related field (mechanical engineering).
• Should have complete knowledge and hand's on experience on Auto Cad; knowledge of SolidWorks/inventory is a plus.
• Knowledge of piping related codes and standards such as ASME, API, etc
• Should have knowledge of fabrication and handling fabrication shop drawings
• Strong understanding of mechanical design and pipeline design principles
• Excellent attention to detail with ability to work accurately meeting required deadlines.
• Excellent Inter-individual skills: writing, speaking, listening, persuading, and influencing & collaborating.
• Experience at working both solitarily and in a team-oriented environment.
