Picking Assistant - Warehouse - Job Description The Picking Assistant is responsible for accurately picking products from designated racks using a digital picklist generated via the Warehouse Management System (WMS). This role operates in a fast-paced environment and requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to timely order fulfillment. Responsibilities: ● Download eCommerce orders and upload them to the WMS to generate digital picklists. ● Pick products from racks as per the picklist using mobile devices or handheld terminals (HHD). ● Ensure accurate picking of items with no need for secondary verification. ● Report discrepancies in stock or rack organization to the supervisor. ● Conduct physical stock audits using WMS during non-picking hours. ● Generate and complete empty bin and shuffle bin picklists to optimize storage space. ● Assist with billing of picked items for both stores and eCommerce customers. Physical Requirements: ● Minimum height: 5.2 feet ● Ability to bend, stretch, or use stools to access upper rack items ● Physically fit to walk with a trolley for extended periods during shift hours Candidate Profile: ● Min education qualification - 10th + ● Prior warehouse or logistics experience is an advantage but not mandatory. ● Able to operate touchscreen mobile devices and WMS apps ● Basic understanding of English (for reading system messages and instructions) ● Knowledge of basic system tools like Excel or spreadsheets ● Quick learner with the ability to adapt to changing demands ● Strong accuracy and attention to detail ● Ability to follow instructions closely in a time-sensitive environment
