PHP & Wordpress Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented WordPress & PHP Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress-based websites and custom PHP applications. You will work closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
• Write clean, well-structured, and reusable PHP code for custom modules or backend logic.
• Convert Figma/PSD/Sketch designs into fully functional WordPress templates.
• Optimize website performance, speed, and responsiveness.
• Integrate third-party APIs, plugins, and payment gateways.
• Troubleshoot website issues, bugs, and compatibility errors.
• Ensure best practices for security, scalability, and performance.
• Maintain existing websites and implement new features as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements.
• Stay updated with the latest WordPress and PHP trends, tools, and technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in PHP and WordPress (CMS, Themes, Plugins).
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and responsive design.
• Solid understanding of MySQL databases and writing optimized queries.
• Familiarity with cPanel, hosting environments, and server setup.
• Experience with WooCommerce, custom post types, and theme builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg).
• Knowledge of REST APIs, AJAX, and API integration.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug at both frontend and backend levels.
• Strong understanding of SEO best practices, web performance, and security standards.
• Experience using version control systems such as Git is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with modern PHP frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter) — not required but a plus.
• Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD, or automated deployment tools.
• Ability to work with page speed optimization tools (GTMetrix, Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights).
• Experience with custom plugin development.
• Familiarity with CRM, LMS, or membership systems.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
