Job Description

Role Overview:

PHP Lead

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership

Lead the design and development of scalable backend systems using PHP and related technologies
Establish coding standards and ensure best practices across the development team
Review code, provide constructive feedback, and conduct regular code audits

Development & Architecture

Develop, test, and maintain high-quality PHP code (preferably with Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter, or similar)
Work on RESTful APIs, database design, and server-side logic
Participate in system architecture and technical planning discussions

Team Management & Mentorship

Mentor junior and mid-level developers, helping them grow their technical skills
Manage task allocation and sprint planning in collaboration with the project manager or scrum master
Help resolve development blockers and performance issues

Nice-to-Haves:

Experience with JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js, or Angular)
Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Knowledge of microservices architecture
Exposure to Agile/Scrum development processes
Understanding of security best practices in web applications
