Photographer & Photo Editor Location: Kolkata Job Type: Full-Time Company: Shreya Nemani Film & Photography About Us Shreya Nemani Film & Photography is a Kolkata-based photography studio specializing in product, fashion, and interior photography. Our team captures images that are compelling and looks fresh and appealing for designers, brands, and architects. From fashion campaigns and editorial shoots to e-commerce listings and interior showcases, we produce visuals that tell a story while serving their purpose and helping the brand grow. Job Summary We are looking for a skilled Photographer & Photo Editor to join our team. You should be experienced in handling shoots independently or as part of a team, with strong editing skills to enhance final outputs. You would also be required to assist the senior photographer on some shoots. If you enjoy working on set, love detailed styling, and can edit with a sharp eye, we want to hear from you. The role requires a good eye for visual aesthetics and the ability to adapt content effectively for social media platforms. Along with this, if you hone video editing skills, that’ll be a bonus. Responsibilities As a Photographer: Product Photography: Capture clean, well-lit shots for catalogues, websites, and social media. Fashion Photography: Plan and shoot fashion campaigns and lookbooks. Work closely with stylists, makeup artists, and models to deliver brand-consistent visuals. Interior Photography: Photograph residential and commercial spaces, focusing on layout, lighting, and symmetry to showcase design and decor. Pre-Shoot Prep: Study briefs, create moodboards if needed, and prep lighting and equipment accordingly. On-Set Execution: Manage lighting, camera settings, and team coordination during shoots. Ensure client expectations are met in real-time. Designing: Must have a basic understanding of design and content trends on social media to adapt visuals accordingly. As a Photo Editor: Editing & Retouching: Process RAW files and retouch selected images for colour balance, skin tone correction, or background cleanup depending on project type. Consistency Checks: Ensure all edited photos align with brand requirements and overall project tone. Organised File Management: Sort, label, and store files correctly—RAW, exports, and backups—within our structured system. Collaborate on Layouts: Assist the design team by preparing images for portfolios, ads, or print material when required. Visual Design & Digital Content Skills: Should be able to edit and prepare visuals specifically for social media and web platforms, following brand and platform guidelines. Requirements Proven experience in product or fashion photography (portfolio required). Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Knowledge of lighting techniques and equipment handling. Strong sense of composition, angles, and attention to detail. Strong visual sensibility and hands-on experience in editing or creating content for social media are essential. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Team-oriented and responsible attitude. Education: A formal degree is not necessary, but a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience is required.
