Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Factory Operations Manager to lead and oversee day-to-day operations at our pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmaceutical production, GMP compliance, and plant operations with a sharp focus on efficiency, safety, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Production Management: Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure efficient production schedules, optimal resource utilization, and minimal downtime. Ensure adherence to production targets, quality standards, and cost efficiency. Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain teams for seamless product lifecycle execution. Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, WHO, and other applicable pharmaceutical regulatory standards. Work closely with QA/QC teams to maintain batch records, SOPs, and audit readiness. Team Leadership & Development: Lead and manage production supervisors, technicians, and plant workers. Implement training programs to ensure skill development and SOP adherence. Foster a safety-first, performance-oriented culture on the shop floor. Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement through lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen initiatives. Monitor KPIs such as OEE, yield, productivity, and wastage and implement corrective actions. Maintenance & Asset Management: Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery and facility infrastructure. Coordinate with engineering teams for utility and equipment reliability. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate production logs, compliance reports, and operational dashboards. Report plant performance metrics to senior leadership. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's or Masters degree in Pharmacy, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing with at least 3 years in a leadership role. In-depth knowledge of GMP, regulatory standards (USFDA, MHRA, etc.), and pharmaceutical production processes. Strong leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills. Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing software (e.g., SAP, MES). Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar is a plus. Preferred Qualities: Experience in sterile or solid dosage forms manufacturing. Track record of successful plant audits and inspections. High attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
