Location: SALTLAKE

Job Title: PGT Chemistry Teacher

Department: Science

Reporting To: Academic Coordinator / Principal

Job Type: Full-Time

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Chemistry.
  • B.Ed. (Mandatory as per educational board norms).
  • Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in a reputed ISC /senior secondary school.
  • Strong understanding of ISC Chemistry curriculum and board exam patterns.
  • Experience with laboratory setup and practical exam coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Delivery:
  • Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons for Classes XI and XII, aligned with ISC syllabus.
  • Ensure coverage of the complete syllabus as per the academic calendar.
  • Use innovative and practical teaching methodologies to make concepts clear.
  • Assessment and Evaluation:
  • Prepare question papers, worksheets, and assignments.
  • Conduct regular assessments and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain student performance records and report cards.
  • Laboratory Management:
  • Conduct practical classes and ensure lab safety protocols are followed.
  • Maintain lab equipment and ensure availability of chemicals and materials.
  • Train students for board practical exams and internal assessments.
  • Classroom Management:
  • Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment.
  • Provide individual attention to students where needed.
  • Encourage participation, curiosity, and scientific thinking.
  • Academic Support:
  • Mentor students preparing for board exams and competitive exams (NEET/JEE).
  • Organize remedial classes and doubt-clearing sessions.
  • Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events.
  • School Contribution:
  • Participate in science exhibitions, Olympiads, and inter-school competitions.
  • Coordinate with other departments and participate in school improvement plans.
  • Attend staff meetings, trainings, and workshops.

Skills Required:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in technology (smart boards, online tools, Google Classroom, etc.).
  • Passion for teaching and continuous professional development.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.

Preferred:

  • Experience in preparing students for NEET/JEE is a plus.
  • Willingness to participate in co-curricular activities and school initiatives.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
