Performance Test Lead

As a Senior Performance QA Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for owning the end-to-end performance testing and release cycles. Your role will involve tasks ranging from workload design to analysis and sign-off. You should be proficient in tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, and Gatling, possess a strong background in performance engineering for distributed systems, and have experience in CI/CD practices, observability tools, and bottleneck analysis. Key Responsibilities: - Possess 7-10 years of experience in performance engineering for web services and distributed systems. - Demonstrate strong hands-on expertise in JMeter, including advanced correlation, JSR223, custom functions, and backends/listeners. - Have a solid understanding of HTTP/REST, TLS, concurrency, caching, connection pooling, and asynchronous patterns. - Show proven experience in integrating performance tests with CI/CD pipelines and enforcing SLO/threshold-based gates. - Be skilled in APM/observability tools and infra/DB analysis, including GC, heap, thread dumps, and slow queries. - Proficient in scripting using Java/Groovy or Python for utilities, data generation, and JMeter extensions. - Possess clear communication skills with the ability to interpret data effectively and influence release outcomes.
