Performance Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Test Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of performance testing strategies for our software systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of performance testing frameworks, tools, and methodologies, coupled with a strong ability to diagnose and resolve performance issues in complex environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Define and implement performance testing strategies, standards, and best practices to ensure optimal system performance.
• Test Planning: Develop performance test plans, including identifying key performance indicators (KPIs), workload models, and system usage patterns
• Execution and Analysis: Oversee the execution of performance tests, analyze results, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders to improve application performance
• Tool Selection: Evaluate, recommend, and implement performance testing tools and frameworks such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or other relevant tools.
• Performance Bottlenecks: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance bottlenecks across the application, database, and infrastructure layers
• Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to integrate performance testing into the CI/CD pipeline
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to the QA and testing teams on performance testing methodologies and tools.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed reports and dashboards for performance test results, trends, and recommendations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software performance testing, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or architect role.
• Proficiency with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, Neoload)
• Strong understanding of performance testing concepts like latency, throughput, scalability, and concurrency
• Expertise in identifying performance bottlenecks and profiling tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic).
• Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of performance tests into DevOps workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with scripting languages like Python, Groovy, or Shell scripting.
• Knowledge of database performance tuning and query optimization
• Certification in performance testing tools or cloud platforms is a plus
