You will be responsible for designing and developing dashboards, consoles, and other interior automotive parts, as well as decorative and soft touch interior parts. You will also need to plan countermeasures based on design and quality reviews and benchmark the perceived quality of competitors" vehicles. Additionally, you will set targets and provide solutions to enhance the perceived quality of vehicles during new model development, considering cost and weight optimization. Moreover, you will establish a qualitative and quantitative process for evaluating the perceived quality of vehicles. You must have the ability to work or lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with design and engineering to improve perceived quality in new model development. A strong understanding of judgement parameters for evaluating the perceived quality of a car is essential. You should be able to analyze perceived quality details to enhance fit and finish throughout the vehicle and have a good grasp of touch and feel concepts. Excellent interpersonal skills are required to coordinate with other engineering and styling departments effectively. Prior experience in car driving is preferred. Proficiency in CAD software, particularly UGNX, is necessary for this role. You should also possess technical knowledge of vehicle systems and sub-systems, packaging strategies, and occupant packaging strategies. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in advanced tools like Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to comprehend engineering requests and deliver accordingly are key requirements for this position.,
