Job Description

As the Global People (HR) Operations Manager (APAC) at Dolby, you will play a key leadership role in the People Operations team, focusing on the Asia-Pacific region. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading, coaching, and directing the Global People Operations team in APAC, managing roles at various levels and expertise - Overseeing operational, project, and program management, including driving global process improvement projects - Developing and implementing a roadmap for People Operations improvements through simplification, automation, and efficiency - Standardizing global business processes and optimizing efficiency through continuous improvement methods - Collaborating with leaders and HR business partners on various employment actions and performance management - Updating policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations Specifically for the Bangalore site, you will be responsible for: - Driving all aspects of Bangalore employee experience and developing on-site People Operations support - Partnering with site leaders to create a roadmap for People and site-related programs and improvements - Engaging with business stakeholders to represent and execute on Bangalore's growth opportunities Your qualifications should include: - Proficiency in English, both written and verbal - Minimum eight years of HR or related experience, with at least two years in managing People/People Operations - Deep understanding of Asia-Pacific employment laws, ideally with knowledge of India, China, Australia, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore regulations - Demonstrated ability to manage high-performing teams in multiple locations - Strategic mindset with a collaborative approach to work and effective communication - Resourcefulness in problem-solving and proposing solutions - Experience with cloud-based HR systems and digital collaboration tools - Willingness to embrace technology for improving employee experience and work efficiency - Flexibility in working hours to accommodate global collaboration and travel within the APAC region Preferred qualifications include proficiency in a third language (French, Spanish, German, Dutch, Chinese, Japanese, Korean) and experience at a multinational company. You should be prepared for frequent travel within APAC and occasional travel outside the region, as well as the ability to work from the Bangalore office at least two days per week.
