Payroll Trainee

Job Summary:

The Trainee Payroll will assist the payroll team in end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements. The role involves data management, verification, and coordination with internal teams to support smooth payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparation and processing of monthly payroll.
  
• Collect and verify attendance, leave, and overtime data.
  
• Maintain and update employee master data in payroll systems.
  
• Support in calculation of salaries, incentives, and deductions (PF, ESI, PT, TDS, etc.).
  
• Prepare salary statements and payslips.
  
• Assist in filing and maintaining statutory records and reports.
  
• Handle employee payroll queries and provide timely resolutions.
  
• Support the HR/Finance team in audits and reconciliations.
  
• Maintain confidentiality of payroll data and employee information.
  

Skills & Competencies:

• Basic understanding of payroll concepts and statutory compliances.
  
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  
• Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred).
  
• Good communication and coordination skills.
  
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
  
• Willingness to learn and work in a team-oriented environment.
