Job Description

1. Gimbal Camera System Design

Develop mechanical and electronic designs for 3-axis gimbal-stabilized camera systems.

Select and integrate IMUs, encoders, brushless gimbal motors, and controllers.

Optimize camera payload mounting for various imaging applications (EO/IR, LiDAR, hyperspectral).

2. Embedded Systems Firmware Development

Develop and optimize gimbal control algorithms (PID tuning, Kalman filtering, FOC motor control).

Implement real-time stabilization algorithms using STM32, ESP32, or other MCUs.

Work with MAVLink, UART, CAN, and SPI protocols for seamless drone integration.

Develop custom gimbal firmware for remote camera control and tracking.

3. Motion Control Stabilization Optimization

Implement sensor fusion techniques to enhance stability (IMU + Encoder data fusion).

Optimize motor response times and power efficiency.

Develop adaptive tuning methods for dynamic in-flight stabilization.

4. Camera Payload Integration

Integrate high-resolution EO/IR cameras, LiDAR, and other imaging sensors.

Design video transmission interfaces (HDMI, IP, RF, analog FPV, SDI).

Work on remote camera control, auto-tracking, and AI-based stabilization.

5. Testing, Prototyping, and Field Trials

Develop prototype gimbal systems and test for shock resistance, stability, and environmental durability.

Conduct field tests for real-world vibration, motion tracking, and response evaluation.

Work with aerospace-grade materials (carbon fiber, aluminum alloys, composites) for weight optimization.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong expertise in gimbal design, stabilization algorithms, and brushless motor control.
  • Experience with PID tuning, sensor fusion (IMU, encoder, accelerometer), and motion control.
  • Proficiency in embedded C/C++, Python, and RTOS-based firmware development.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware design (PCB development, power management, circuit design).
  • Familiarity with drones, UAV systems, autopilot integration (Pixhawk, ArduPilot, DJI SDKs).
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360) for mechanical design.
  • Understanding of camera optics, lens selection, and video encoding (H.264, H.265, MJPEG)
  • Experience with wireless video transmission (HDMI, Wi-Fi, 5.8GHz RF, digital FPV)

Preferred Experience:

  • 3+ years in gimbal system design, UAV imaging payloads, or robotics.
  • Experience with FOC (Field-Oriented Control) for BLDC motors.
  • Familiarity with computer vision-based stabilization (OpenCV, AI-based tracking).

Qualification :

Background in Aerospace, Robotics, Embedded Systems, or Mechanical Engineering.
