Pastry Chef - R&D & Production

We are searching for a skilled Pastry Chef to become a valuable member of our team, focusing on Research & Development, production, and the creation of new products. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in pastry arts and a passion for innovation. Your responsibilities will include assisting in daily R&D tasks for both ongoing and upcoming projects, overseeing small-batch ice cream production to maintain quality and consistency, managing all mise en place requirements such as ingredient inventory, training internal teams for new product launches and recipe execution, brainstorming and crafting new dessert formats and flavors, ensuring adherence to SOPs for product development and production, and creating various pastry elements for ice creams and desserts. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality/Hotel Management or a Diploma in Patisserie, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in pastry production, with at least 1 year dedicated to new product development. You must possess the ability to research, test, and refine recipes, a sound knowledge of food handling, storage, and compliance regulations, strong technical skills in baking, pastry preparation, and dessert innovation, the capacity to introduce unique flavors and modern techniques, the skill to train and mentor kitchen teams, and exceptional attention to detail.
