Part-Time -Embedded engineer (Telemetry)

Embedded Software Engineer

• Strong proficiency in

  C/C++ system-level development

• Hands-on experience with

  native AOSP services

• In-depth knowledge of

  AOSP Telemetry Stack (StatsD)

• Experience working with

  AOSP services and frameworks

• Solid understanding of

  telemetry event generation, collection, and validation

• Experience with

  performance tuning and optimization

• Familiarity with

  OSSDK Telemetry

• Experience working with large-scale embedded or Android platform systems
• Exposure to backend telemetry pipelines and dashboards
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (platform, telemetry SMEs, backend teams)

• Platformize telemetry

  across embedded/AOSP-based systems

• Migrate telemetry events

  from legacy telemetry stacks to the new telemetry APIs
• Develop, modify, and maintain

  native AOSP services

  related to telemetry
• Ensure

  successful builds

  across supported platforms
• Verify and maintain

  unit test coverage

  ; ensure all relevant tests pass
• Perform

  end-to-end telemetry validation

  in collaboration with:
• Telemetry Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
• Event owners
• Backend teams
• Validate that telemetry data is

  accurately generated and ingested

  into backend systems

• Set up monitoring and alerting

  to proactively identify telemetry issues
• Triage issues and collaborate with

  event owners or telemetry teams

  to drive resolution
• Continuously improve telemetry reliability, performance, and observability
