Parent Relation Officer

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic public relations plans to enhance organisational reputation.
• Manage media relations, including drafting press releases, organising press conferences, and responding to media enquiries.
• Organise community outreach programmes and events to promote organisational initiatives.
• Maintain positive relationships with local media outlets, community groups, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on public perception and outreach effectiveness.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.
• Represent the organisation at public events, conferences, and community activities.
• Utilise social media platforms to engage with the public and promote organisational activities effectively.

Experience

• Proven experience in public relations, communications, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience working with children or in youth engagement programmes is highly desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in British English.
• Ability to build rapport with diverse audiences and handle sensitive situations professionally.
• Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
