Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Panel Saw Operator to join our team. The Panel Saw Operator will be responsible for cutting and shaping large panels (typically wood, MDF, or plywood) into specified sizes and dimensions using panel saw machinery. The ideal candidate will have experience with operating saws, ensuring precision cuts, maintaining safety standards, and contributing to the efficient operation of the production process. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate panel saw machines to cut large sheets of wood, MDF, plywood, or similar materials. Measure and mark materials to be cut according to blueprints, drawings, or specifications. Ensure proper alignment and secure materials in the saw machine to guarantee precise cuts. Perform regular maintenance checks on panel saws and related equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety. Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and compliance with project specifications. Adjust the machine as needed for different cutting requirements (e.g., different thicknesses, angles). Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency. Adhere to all safety regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Collaborate with other team members, including production planners and quality control staff, to ensure production targets are met. Report any malfunctions or issues with the machinery to the supervisor for timely resolution. Document and track production output as required for record-keeping and reporting purposes. Assist with other production-related tasks as needed. Proven experience as a Panel Saw Operator or similar role in manufacturing/woodworking.
