Paint Process Engineer

Roles &

• Development of new colour with the paint supplier
• Review and approval of colour harmony
• Paint shop process parameters management (PTED, Sealer, Primer, topcoat & Inspection Zone)
• IATF coordinator / PFMEA reviews and implementation
• Paint shop process documentation ownership (OD sheet etc.) for all new Launches
• Support production and quality team for line related process quality issue.
• Paint ME Co-Ordinator to work with Body and GA shop teams
• Change Management Coordinator to develop plans for Production Trial Runs, Engineering Try-outs, Engineering Work Orders, etc. during the launch process.
• Management of plant capacity improvement
• Work Area safety in charge
• Paint shop energy saving idea coordinator/implementer
• Direct material development, testing and validation (Paint. Sealer & wax etc)
• Paint shop related RFQ, Budget, Schedules, and quality reports preparation
• Vendor Evaluation/ Procurement for new material and process
• Knowledge of Paint shop Facility and equipment tools.
• Hands on Paint quality equipments setup & Robots parameter setting
• Paint Process Audits, control plan & Process quality implementation & improvement
• Preparation and study of shop capacity & Cycle time study for process improvement
• Interface between body group, sealer suppliers and the paint shop to incorporate the design and application of new materials in the paint facility.
• Coordinates the interaction between Body Shop and General Assembly for resolution of Paint Shop issues whose root cause is found to have originated within those departments.
• Executes the change management process for internal process control (tooling, material, etc.); Coordinates with Body and General Assembly.
• Utilizes established verification process to validate workstation layout, ergonomics, error proofing, and operator certification by start of manufacturing validation build (ref. Manufacturing Process Validation-Workstation Readiness).
• Ensures the Paint Bill of Process (BOP) is met and executed for the Paint Shop
• Support team for new M&E execution and prove out
• Paint direct material cost control
• Integral member of the problem resolution teams in the Paint shop, ensuring that the problem-solving process is being utilized.

• (Car OEM technical partner like Asian paints /Kansai Nerolec)
• Should have hands on experience on quality equipments, Painting system & Robots parameter setting (Prefer: Make- Fanuc, Yoshikawa Robots)
• Hands of experience on Colour harmony, New Colour trials & proving.
• Should have skill on direct material development, testing and validation (Paint. Sealer & wax etc)
• Experience in Paint Process Audits, control plan & Process quality implementation & improvement
• Should have knowledge of Painting Major M&E of PTED line, Paint circulation system
