• Core Responsibilities:
• Receiving and Inspecting: Unpacking and inspecting items for damage or defects before packing.

Additional Responsibilities (may vary by company):

• Operating packaging machinery (if applicable).
• Weighing packages and calculating shipping costs.
• Preparing shipping documents and invoices.
• Loading and unloading shipments (may involve heavy lifting).
• Reporting any issues with products, packaging, or equipment.
• Potentially assisting with other warehouse tasks as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderately heavy objects.
• Attention to Detail: Accuracy in packing and labeling is crucial.
• Organizational Skills: Maintaining an organized and efficient work area.
• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with others to meet deadlines.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members.
• Basic Math Skills: For weighing packages and calculating costs.
• Prior Experience: While not always required, previous experience in packing or warehousing can be beneficial.
• Packaging: Placing items into appropriate packaging materials (boxes, bubble wrap, etc.) ensuring items are secure and protected during transit.
• Order Fulfillment: Picking and packing items based on customer orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Labeling: Applying labels to packages with accurate shipping information.
• Inventory Management: Assisting with inventory counts, and reporting any discrepancies.
• Maintaining Work Area: Keeping the packing station clean and organized.
• Safety Compliance: Following safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents.
