Packaging Technical Lead (Deputy Manager/ Assistant Manager)

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Lead the overall packaging technical agenda for your business unit to fuel meaningful brand growth bydeploying packaging change projects spanning across multiple agendas including new productintroduction, renovation, sustainability, cost efficiency, automation, quality improvement andcompliance.

2.Deliver competitive advantage and improved brand preference through innovations in packaging whilemeeting objectives of sustainability and efficiency.

3.Manage the overall life cycle of product packaging of the business unit through 6 phases of evolution(design, development, validate, deploy, learn and improve).

4.Improve performance of packaging against KPIs of DFM, DFQ and DFA including product safety. Unlockmaterial and manufacturing efficiency through smart design interventions while improving productsafety during storage, transportation and handling.

5.Continuously and constructively challenge current assumptions to inspire better alternatives to driveinnovations in packaging. Maintain and encourage an outside -in approach in design creation andreview. Act as a catalyst to remove not-invented here syndrome while nurturing ideas and insights withgreat potential.

6.Build and optimize packaging specification with required details of performance action standards,physical parameters, material of construction and 3D models/ 2D drawings with acceptable tolerancesand measurement standards.

7.Partner existing and new suppliers to deploy structural design and print quality targets. Nurturerelationship and leverage end-game suppliers to deliver competitive advantage through packaging.

8.Influence material and process standardization to simplify supply complexity and improve consistency.

9.Provide critical inputs to internal stake holders and design agencies on techno-commercial feasibility forqualifying appropriate design concepts to be recommended for deployment. Work like a packaging
