Role Overview: You will support the efficient and safe operation of the Eye Operation Theatre (OT) by assisting in a range of ophthalmic surgeries, including Phaco-cataract and Retina procedures. Your role is critical in maintaining high standards of hygiene, sterilization, and surgical readiness, ensuring optimal patient care throughout pre-operative and post-operative phases. You will play a key role in OT workflow management, inventory control, and compliance with surgical protocols, directly contributing to the success and safety of surgical outcomes. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the Operation Theatre. - Verify and enforce adherence to correct surgical procedures during all operations. - Maintain strict cleanliness and hygiene standards across the entire OT environment. - Implement and uphold the latest sterilization techniques and protocols. - Monitor and manage OT consumable inventory by raising timely requisitions to the commercial executive based on usage. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date OT stock records. - Record daily surgical data including surgery date, patient name, MRD number, type of surgery, eye operated, surgeon name, and IOL sticker used. Qualifications Required: - Proven experience in an OT environment, preferably in ophthalmic surgery support. - Strong knowledge of sterilization and infection control standards. - Proficiency in maintaining surgical inventory and stock management. - Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keeping. - Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced surgical setting. - Good communication and teamwork skills.
