OT Technician

Job Title: OT (Operation Theatre) Technician

Department: Operation Theatre / Surgical Services
Reports To: Surgeon / Senior Medical Officer / Nursing In-charge

Job Summary:
The OT Technician is responsible for preparing and maintaining the operation theatre, assisting surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures, and ensuring proper sterilization and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment to maintain aseptic conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room before surgery by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes.
• Ensure all instruments, materials, and equipment are sterilized and functioning properly.
• Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies as required.
• Maintain aseptic conditions throughout surgical procedures.
• Handle specimens as per hospital protocols.
• Clean and restock the operating room after each surgery.
• Maintain an inventory of OT supplies and inform in advance about shortages.
• Operate and maintain surgical equipment and report any malfunctions.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
• Assist in emergency procedures and provide support for other medical teams when required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma or Certificate in Operation Theatre Technology (DOTT / COTT / B.Sc. in OT Technology).
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience as an OT Technician in a hospital or healthcare setup.
• Knowledge of surgical instruments, sterilization techniques, and infection control.

Skills Required:

• Strong understanding of surgical procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Working Hours: [8 hours daily]

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,098.68 - ₹35,154.95 per month
