OT Technician

As an OT Technician, your primary role will involve maintaining the cleanliness of operating rooms daily. You will be responsible for checking patients' vitals during surgery and keeping a record of the same. It is crucial to follow the surgeons' instructions diligently. After each case, you must ensure the sterilization of OT rooms to meet the requirements for the next surgery. Key Responsibilities: - Clean and disinfect equipment such as Laryngoscope with blades, Ambu bag with mask, OT table, and operating lights immediately after the surgery. - Ensure proper cleaning and disinfection of machines and equipment including C-Arm, OT table, Syringe pumps, Infusion pumps, Warmer, Transport monitor, Hotline, Ultrasound, Sonosite, etc. - Maintain a puncture-proof container in the OT with Sodium hypochlorite solution 1% for disposing of needles post-operation. - Supervise bio-medical waste management, with a focus on cases involving retroviral positive and HbsAg positive patients. - Segregate and dispose of bio-medical waste appropriately. - Coordinate with the OT Incharge on all theatre-related issues. Additionally, after disinfection, you are required to take swabs and check the sterility of the operation theatre with the assistance of a Microbiologist or Infection Control Nurse. Please note that this job is full-time and requires your presence in person at the work location.
