Oracle RMS Tester

As a Test Engineer in this role, your primary responsibilities will include designing and executing functional, integration, and regression test cases for Oracle RMS and its integrated modules (ReIM, SIM, RPM, SIOCS, etc.). You will be required to analyze functional specifications and technical documents to derive test conditions and coverage. It will be your responsibility to validate the end-to-end data flow between RMS and integrated systems such as POS, WMS, Finance, and Order Management. In case of system and data issues, you will troubleshoot by analyzing logs, database records, and middleware traces, including SOA/OSB if applicable. Additionally, you will perform impact analysis, validate change requests and patch deployments, and drive SIT/UAT planning and defect triage coordination with business and technical teams. Automation of test cases using tools like Selenium or Tosca may be required, and you will collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and support teams to ensure quality and stability in every release. To excel in this role, you must possess 5+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle RMS or related Oracle Retail modules. A strong understanding of RMS integration points and data flow between Oracle Retail suite components and third-party systems is essential. You should have proven experience in writing SQL queries and validating backend data, along with excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills across application, database, and middleware layers. Experience working in Agile/Scrum or hybrid delivery models is preferred, as well as familiarity with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, ALM, and test management tools. Strong documentation and communication skills are crucial, and experience with Oracle Retail Cloud (SaaS) or upgrade projects will be beneficial. Knowledge of retail business processes like item management, purchase order, invoice matching, and inventory is desired, while exposure to test automation frameworks is considered a plus.,
