Oracle Fusion Finance (Budgetary Control & Chart of Accounts Lead)

Key Responsibilities

Manage and configure Control Budgets, including setup, budget uploads, exception handling, overrides, funds availability checks, and reporting.

Analyze transactions under budgetary control across ledgers, projects, control budgets, accounts, and periods.

Oversee the setup and periodic updates of budgetary control rules, validation rules, and approval workflows.

Lead the design, implementation, migration, and governance of the Chart of Accounts (CoA) ensuring compliance and data integrity.

Coordinate CoA mapping, cross-module integration, and alignment with external systems.

Handle CoA segment changes, additions, reorg, value set updates & hierarchy management.

Lead the full lifecycle of Oracle Fusion Finance implementations: requirements design configuration testing deployment support.

Act as the primary liaison between finance teams and technical teams to convert business needs into system solutions.

Write and review functional/technical specs for custom objects, integrations, and extensions.

Develop and support financial reports, dashboards, and OTBI/BIP-based analytics.

Ensure accurate financial data flows and perform regular audits for compliance.

Train and support business/finance users on Budget Control, CoA, workflows, and reporting.

Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization and automation.

Lead patch testing, quarterly updates and ensure smooth system operations.

Skills & Qualifications

8+ years of Oracle Fusion Finance experience, with strong command of Budgetary Control & COA.

Experience with minimum 3 full-cycle Oracle Fusion Finance implementations, including leading at least 1 end-to-end implementation.

Degree in Finance / Accounting / Information Systems; CA/CPA/Oracle Certifications preferred.

Strong understanding of financial accounting, CoA design, budgetary control, and integrated financial modules.

Experience across modules such as GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, Lease Accounting, Projects, Expenses.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
