Oracle C2M Developer

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

A Utility focused Solution Consultant will work closely with client stakeholders, design solutions with industry best practices in mind and work with technical team members to implement them. Preferred candidates will have working experience in the utility industry and Oracle Utilities solutions including Customer Care & Billing (CC&B), Customer to Meter (C2M) and Meter Data Management (MDM).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sr. Solution Consultant

• Install, clone, configure, and maintain Oracle Utilities application product stacks on both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Design and create Technical Architecture documentation which may include environment diagrams, hardware sizing, infrastructure processes, integrations, security, and disaster recovery.
• Lead/manage/grow the team members and provide training to the resources across departments as needed.
• Assist with sales and marketing activities such as proposal responses, demos and preparing related assets.
• Research the latest technology offerings and develop POCs to demonstrate viability for our clients.
• Manage and continuously improve the development process/methodology to ensure high quality product updates and consistent release schedule.
• Stay up to date with industry developments, latest technologies, and trends.
• Provide our utility clients with the industry best practices and subject matter expertise for Oracle Utilities solutions.
• Experience with C2M User Security and Access Control for setting permission to Users based on the SSO or using Identity Manager.
• Report project/workstream statuses/risks to Project Managers.
• Work closely and coordinate with the offshore and/or technical members of the project team to ensure accuracy and quality of deliverables.
• Provide technical architectural guidance and knowledge transfer to technical clients and project team members.
• Provide and implement recommendations for performance tuning application servers, databases and integrations.
• Manage environment life cycle and support including code deployments, system backups, patch installations, and performance testing for Oracle Utilities applications.
• Experience in Oracle Enterprise Management tools and monitoring real time performance and reporting.
• Configuration and Management of Oracle Wallet Manager and experience in creating Trusted Certificates
• Develop and improve project and internal documentation and processes.
• Continue to learn and improve your knowledge of the Oracle Utilities solutions as new versions are released.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):

• 7+ years overall experience in a relevant professional IT environment and software implementations/projects.
• Knowledgeable in SQL, XML, scripting languages, Java and/or Groovy.
• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to continue education on structured methodologies such as FADE, SDLC, Agile, and other best practices.
• Experience in Unix Shell Scripting and automating batch jobs.
• Extensive experience in installation, automation, architecture, and design.
• Experience in installing Oracle databases and WebLogic servers.
• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to continue education on structured methodologies such as FADE, SDLC, Agile, and other best practices.
• Desire to learn new technologies and utility business practices.
• Ability to coach and mentor other team members

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):

• Bachelors degree related to Information Technology/ Computer Science.
• Worked in the utility industry with experience with CIS / Billing and MDM systems.
• Hands on experience developing in SQL, XML, scripting languages, Java and/or Groovy.
