Optometrists

As an Optometrist, your role will involve conducting comprehensive eye exams using specialized instruments to detect vision problems, injuries, and abnormalities in patients" eyes. You will be responsible for diagnosing various vision problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and eye diseases like glaucoma. Your duties will also include prescribing eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids based on your diagnosis. Key Responsibilities: - Perform eye exams using specialized instruments - Diagnose vision problems and eye diseases - Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and visual aids - Provide treatments including vision therapy and low-vision rehabilitation - Offer counseling on eye and general health, including ocular hygiene and preventive care - Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery - Conduct research to contribute to the advancement of visual sciences Qualifications Required: - Degree in Optometry - Valid license to practice as an Optometrist - Strong knowledge of eye anatomy and common eye conditions - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively in a team - Prior experience in optometry preferred If you are passionate about promoting eye health, providing quality eye care, and contributing to the advancement of the visual sciences, this full-time Optometrist position may be the right opportunity for you.
