Job Description

Role Overview: You will be joining Eye Mantra in Delhi as an Optometrist, where your main responsibility will be to provide eye exams, diagnose visual conditions, prescribe corrective lenses, and manage patient care. As a Junior Optometrist, you will assist senior staff in delivering these services while gaining valuable experience in the field of optometry. Whether you are an experienced optometrist or a recent graduate, this opportunity is open to you. Key Responsibilities: - Vision Testing & Refraction: - Conduct comprehensive eye exams to assess visual acuity, color vision, depth perception, and eye health. - Perform refraction to identify refractive errors (myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, presbyopia) and recommend appropriate corrective lenses (glasses or contact lenses). - Utilize diagnostic equipment like slit-lamp machines, autorefractors, and tonometers to examine the eye and screen for conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, and retinal diseases. - Patient Management & Care: - Offer expert advice on corrective lenses, contact lenses, and low vision aids. - Diagnose and treat common eye conditions like dry eyes, conjunctivitis, and ocular allergies. - Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and the usage of corrective devices. - Refer patients to ophthalmologists or other specialized healthcare providers for advanced treatments or surgeries. - Clinical Leadership: - Mentor and provide guidance to Junior Optometrists and support staff. - Uphold the highest standards of patient care, professionalism, and accuracy in clinical procedures. - Keep abreast of the latest advancements in optometry and introduce best practices. Qualifications Required: - Education: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Optometry (B.Optom or M.Optom). - Additional certifications in specialized areas (e.g., contact lenses, low vision) would be advantageous. - Experience: - Minimum 2-5 years of clinical experience in optometry, including proficiency in advanced diagnostics, refraction, and patient management. - Familiarity with operating slit-lamp machines, autorefractors, and tonometers. - Skills: - Proficiency in conducting eye exams, diagnosing visual conditions, and prescribing corrective lenses. - Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to establish connections with patients. - Leadership and mentoring skills to guide junior staff effectively.,
