Datacenter Tech Ops Geo Lead
The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong business acumen, demonstrating an ability to balance operational excellence, cost efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership:
- Act as the regional technical lead for all datacenter-related projects and operations.
- Provide expert-level guidance across multiple technologies including Compute, Windows, Virtualization, Unix, Database, Storage, and Backup.
- Review and validate solution, ensuring alignment with global standards and best practices.
- Drive technical improvements, automation, and service quality enhancements across the geo.
Operational Excellence:
- Work closely with delivery and project teams to resolve technical challenges and optimize service delivery.
- Establish and execute Service Improvement Plans (SIPs) for the geo, focusing on reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Drive adherence to standard operating procedures, change management, and compliance processes.
Business & Financial Management:
- Partner with delivery leadership to understand and influence P&L outcomes for the geography.
- Identify and implement cost optimization levers, including resource efficiency, automation, and process standardization.
- Track and report key operational KPIs related to performance, cost, and service quality.
Stakeholder & Team Management:
- Build strong working relationships with internal delivery teams, customers, and cross-functional leaders.
- Act as the escalation point for technical and operational issues within the geo.
- Drive continuous learning and technical upskilling initiatives for the datacenter team.
- Mentor and guide engineers on best practices and emerging datacenter technologies.
Experience:
Technical Expertise:
Strong understanding of DC technologies (Compute, Storage, Backup, Virtualization, Cloud, DC Networking, Monitoring & Automation).Process Knowledge:
ITIL / Lean / Six Sigma familiarity preferred; proven ability to translate process gaps into actionable improvement programs.Innovation Mindset:

Key Responsibilities:
CoE Leade:
- Establish, manage, and scale the Data Center Technology CoE framework.
- Define the CoE roadmap, success metrics, and governance structure.
Initiative Design & Execution:
- Identify, design, and implement initiatives focused on process optimization, cost reduction, automation, and service improvement.
- Lead cross-tower initiatives spanning compute, storage, backup, virtualization, cloud migration, and network domains.
- Ensure alignment of CoE programs with organizational objectives and customer requirements.
Technology & Innovation:
- Evaluate and pilot emerging technologies (AI/ML in infra operations, automation tools, monitoring platforms, etc.) for Data Center modernization.
- Collaborate with OEMs and vendors to assess technology trends and propose adoption strategies.
Process Excellence & Governance:
- Standardize operating procedures, knowledge repositories, and best practices across the Data Center tower.
- Track initiative progress through well-defined KPIs and dashboards.
- Promote continuous improvement culture within the delivery and support teams.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with delivery, engineering, finance, and transformation teams to drive measurable business outcomes.
Communicate CoE outcomes and ROI to leadership through periodic reviews and reports.
