Role & responsibilities Ensured that data loaded into target systems matched the source by performing thorough validation checks on structure, content, and volume. Created and ran test cases based on data mapping documents and transformation logic to verify ETL processes and business rules. Used SQL queries to check data quality, identify anomalies, and confirm correct data transformations across staging and production environments. Identified data issues, documented them clearly, and tracked them in defect management tools like JIRA, contributing to faster issue resolution. Worked closely with data engineers and analysts to understand data workflows and clarify business rules for accurate testing. Recorded test results, maintained test evidence, and supported audit and review processes through organized documentation. Preferred candidate profile Good working knowledge of SQL for querying and manipulating data, preferably on Oracle or DB2 databases. Basic familiarity with ETL tools like Informatica , Talend , or Pentaho . Fundamental understanding of Unix/Linux commands and simple Python scripting for data validation and automation tasks. Awareness of Finacle banking modules (such as CASA, Loans, Payments) and their related data concepts. Desired Skills: Experience with test data validation, reconciliation, and business rule implementation. Familiar with version control and ticketing systems (e.g., Git, JIRA).
