Job Overview

Unified Data Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Perform

  ETL and backend testing

  across multiple data sources and platforms.
• Write and execute

  complex SQL queries

  for data extraction, validation, and reconciliation.
• Conduct

  data pulling, profiling, and quality checks

  to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Validate data pipelines, transformations, and workflows in data warehouse environments.
  
• Identify performance bottlenecks and contribute to

  pipeline optimization and automation

  .
• Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and business teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
  
• Prepare test strategies, test cases, defect reports, and validation documents.
  

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in

  ETL testing

  and

  backend data validation

  .
• Ability to write

  complex SQL queries

  (joins, CTEs, window functions, aggregations).
• Experience with

  data pulling

  and validation from large datasets.
• Solid understanding of

  data warehousing concepts

  , ETL workflows, and pipeline architecture.
• Experience in

  pipeline optimization

  , automation, or scripting (Python/Shell is a plus).
• Familiarity with tools like

  Informatica, DataStage, Talend, ADF, DBT, Kafka

  , or similar (as applicable).
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.
  

Good to Have

• Experience with

  cloud data platforms

  (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Exposure to

  BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, Synapse

  , or similar data warehouses.
• Basic understanding of

  CI/CD

  , automation frameworks, or DevOps pipeline testing.
