Operations Head

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations personal to lead and manage the complete operations of the EV Charging (AC & DC) equipment manufacturing plant, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective production, while meeting quality standards, delivery schedules, and supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Plant Operations Management

• Oversee daily operations of the EV charging equipment manufacturing plant (AC & DC chargers).
• Ensure production plans align with business requirements and delivery schedules.
• Monitor equipment utilization, productivity, and output against targets.
• Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance of plant machinery and infrastructure.

Quality & Compliance

• Drive adherence to quality standards (ISO/IEC/BIS, EV charging protocols).
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety, environmental, and regulatory norms.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma.

Production Planning & Supply Chain

• Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, and logistics to ensure raw material availability and on-time delivery.
• Optimize inventory management, material flow, and production scheduling.
• Coordinate with R&D and design teams for new product industrialization.

People Leadership & Development

• Lead and manage plant workforce including engineers, supervisors, and operators.
• Develop skill-building and training programs for technical teams.
• Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.

Cost & Efficiency Management

• Prepare and manage plant operations budget.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining quality and productivity.
• Identify and eliminate operational bottlenecks.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Ensure implementation of safety practices across the plant.
• Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and safety drills.
• Promote a zero-incident culture.

3. Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Expertise in plant operations, production planning, and process optimization.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and TPM methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

4. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Plant production efficiency and capacity utilization.
• On-time delivery performance.
• Quality metrics (rejection rate, customer complaints).
• Cost savings and budget adherence.
• Safety performance (zero LTI incidents).
• Workforce productivity and engagement.
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors / Masters in Electrical / Mechanical / Industrial Engineering (preferred).
  
• 1520 years of experience in

  manufacturing / plant operations

  , with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Prior experience in

  EV charging equipment, power electronics, automotive, or electrical equipment manufacturing

  is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of AC & DC chargers, power electronics, switchgear, and grid standards.
  
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP), production planning, and quality systems.
  
• Fluent in English and Kannada (preferred).
