Job Description

Crane Worldwide Logistics is a leader in supply chain solutions with over 130 locations across 30 countries providing individual services that address our client's logistics challenges.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day, end-to-end ocean export and import operations for Belgium.
  • Create and review House Bills of Lading (HBL) and verify Master Bill of Lading (MBL) drafts for accuracy and compliance with customer and carrier requirements.
  • Validate shipping documents and ensure timely upload of all records in internal systems.
  • Send export pre-alerts and process import pre-alerts received from overseas agents.
  • Track vessel departures, arrivals, and transshipments, update ETD/ETA and other shipment milestones to maintain accurate visibility.
  • Follow up with carriers proactively to resolve delays, document discrepancies, and operational challenges.
  • Handle regulatory filings such as AMS, ISF, ACI, and ensure all data submitted is accurate and compliant with global trade regulations.
    File shipment insurance as required based on relevant Incoterms.
  • Update internal systems and Smartsheet with real-time shipment details, milestones, and supporting documents.
  • Review incoming documents for accuracy, identify inconsistencies, and take timely corrective actions.
  • Prepare and process invoices for ocean freight shipments, ensuring cost and revenue accuracy.
  • Manage operations and administrative shared mailboxes, respond, route, and follow up on emails within required timelines.
  • Coordinate effectively with overseas agents, internal teams, carriers, and external partners to ensure smooth shipment movement and problem resolution.
  • Provide timely updates to stakeholders on shipment status, delays, or documentation issues.

Desired Attributes & Skills:

  • Strong understanding of ocean freight documentation, Incoterms, carrier processes, and compliance filings.
  • Technical proficiency in Smartsheet, TMF/internal systems, and carrier portals.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with internal teams and external partners.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple shipments, deadlines, and priorities in a high-pressure environment.
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn new processes, adapt to new ideas, and embrace continuous improvement.
  • 2–6 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations.

Experience

Required
  • 2 - 6 years: 2–6 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations.
