Role & responsibilities

Overview

We are looking for a Monitoring Tools Specialist with strong expertise in BMC TrueSight Operations Management (TSOM) and BMC Helix Operations Management (BHOM). The candidate should have hands-on experience in monitoring solutions, integrations, troubleshooting, and event management, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and manage TSOM/BHOM monitoring solutions
• Install and configure Patrol Agents using pconfig utilities
• Develop and maintain event management policies, thresholds, and authorization profiles
• Troubleshoot monitoring issues and perform root cause analysis
• Integrate monitoring tools with third-party monitoring and ticketing systems
• Document processes and configurations in MS Word and Excel
• Contribute to migration activities such as TSOM to BHOM

Must Have Skills

• Strong knowledge of TSOM/BHOM architecture
• Patrol Agent installation and configuration experience
• Understanding of Patrol and Sentry KMs
• Event management policies and threshold configuration
• Integration with third-party monitoring/ticketing tools
• Firewall access rule creation and monitoring prerequisites
• Proficiency in MS Excel (filters, pivots) and MS Word
• Basic email etiquette

Good to Have Skills

• Python scripting and automation
• Kubernetes basics
• Grafana dashboards
• ITIL knowledge and certifications
• Intelligent Integration application and connector configuration experience

Great to Have Skills

• TSOM to BHOM migration experience
• JSON and API integration knowledge
• TSCO/BHCO administration, ETL configuration, and reporting
