Open System Engineer

Senior Windows Server Administrator

• Provide

  3rd-level support

  for server-related issues escalated by

  Datacenter Operations, Service Desk, App/Dev teams, or business users

  .


• Maintain and support

  Windows Server environments, VMware, VEEAM, Active Directory, and associated technologies

  .


• Implement

  patching and proactive maintenance plans

  to ensure system stability.


• Perform general

  server maintenance, upgrades, and system hardening

  based on best practices.


• 
  

  Monitoring & Troubleshooting:

  
  


• Proactively

  review monitoring systems

  , analyze alerts, and adjust thresholds to enhance infrastructure stability.


• Perform

  thorough root cause analysis (RCA)

  for incidents, using best practice troubleshooting techniques.


• Utilize vendor recommendations, personal experience, and diagnostic tools to resolve critical issues.

  Documentation & Process Improvement:

  
  


• Maintain and update

  standard operating procedures (SOPs) and build documentation

  .


• Ensure all necessary documentation is up to date and reflects current infrastructure and operational best practices.


• Identify and implement

  improvements in server performance, automation, and security

  Skills & Qualifications:

  
  

  Required Skills:

  
  



• 5+ years of experience

  in Windows Server administration and

  enterprise data center environments

  .


• Expertise in

  Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy

  .


• Strong experience with

  VMware virtualization and VEEAM backup solutions

  .


• Experience in

  server monitoring, patching, and troubleshooting

  .


• Ability to perform

  root cause analysis (RCA) and proactive issue resolution

  .


• Excellent

  documentation and communication skills

  .

  Preferred Skills:

  
  



• Experience with cloud environments

  (Azure, AWS, or hybrid setups).


• Knowledge of

  PowerShell scripting and automation

  .


• Familiarity with

  ITIL processes and best practices

  .


• Understanding of

  networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, load balancing, etc.)
