Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Migration Strategy & Architecture

Assess existing .NET applications (Framework/Core) for cloud readiness.
Design target Azure architectures (App Services, AKS, Functions, APIM, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, etc.).
Define migration approach (rehost, refactor, rearchitect, rebuild).
Create cloud adoption and modernization roadmaps.

2. Technical Leadership

Guide teams in updating and modernizing .NET codebases.
Lead efforts to break monoliths into microservices if required.
Establish coding standards and DevOps practices for Azure deployments.

3. Azure Implementation

Build and configure Azure infrastructure using ARM/Bicep/Terraform.
Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
Ensure security best practices (Azure AD, Managed Identity, Key Vault).

4. Project & Stakeholder Management

Work with business and technical stakeholders to define scope and timelines.
Provide technical direction to developers, SREs, and QA teams.
Conduct risk assessments and migration readiness reviews.

5. Performance, Security & Cost Optimization

Optimize migrated applications for scale, performance, and reliability.
Monitor Azure usage and guide cost-optimization efforts.
Ensure compliance with organizational and industry security standards.

Required Skills

Strong expertise in
C#

.NET Framework/Core

ASP.NET
, Web APIs.
Deep knowledge of
Azure services
(App Service, SQL, Storage, VNet, Key Vault, Identity, Functions, Kubernetes, Service Bus, etc.).
Experience with
CI/CD
, Infrastructure as Code, IaC tools.
Familiarity with
cloud governance
, FinOps, and application observability.
Leadership experience in
cloud migration or modernization projects
