Manipal Hospitals is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Oncology Nurse to join our team. The Oncology Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals diagnosed with cancer. The role involves administering treatments, monitoring patient progress, and offering emotional support to patients and their families throughout the treatment process. The Oncology Nurse will work closely with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans, educate patients about their conditions and treatment options, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment for those undergoing cancer treatment.
- Administer chemotherapy and other medications as prescribed by oncologists.
- Monitor patients for side effects and adverse reactions to treatments. - Assess patient health status, including vital signs, laboratory results, and physical symptoms. - Educate patients and families about cancer, treatment options, and self-care strategies. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. - Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families throughout the treatment journey. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation. - Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures.
