Officer - Procurement Assist (Port Operations - Kolkata)

MANDATORY KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE IN :-

• Yard / Port Operations & procurement

• SAP MM & SAP PM Modules

• Experience in MECHANISED PORT OR SIMILAR INDUSTRY

1. Purchasing of spares / consumables / Capital Assets / Fuel / Oil /  Lubricants
2. Preparationof Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) & Annual Rate  Contract(ARC)
3. Arrangementof Custom clearance for all import spares
4. Preparationof Rate for Quotation (RFQ) and sent to vendor for offer, making Comparative statement with last purchased price, Negotiation with vendors.
5. Preparing e- NFA, PO with all terms & conditions in SAP and after approval send to vendor.
6. New vendor development for competitive price & quality work.
7. Timely arranging the material as per user requirement.
8. Follow up with vendor to ensure delivery time as per Purchase Order and payment to suppliers on time.
9. Introduce vendor prequalification system, Quality Assurance Plan programme in procurement process through ARIBA.
10. Connect the dots, visualize the big picture, and recognize long term implications of todays actions while making decisions  
11. Understand organization dynamics / industry trends / financial data and translates this knowledge to articulate business strategies
12. Integrate the interests of the environment, society and communities in ones actions, decisions and business strategies
13. Take initiative to spot medium and short term business opportunities and capitalize on them by taking actions with speed and agility
14. Be comfortable in ambiguous situations, present oneself with conviction and poise, and recover from setbacks with increased energy
