Occupational Therapist

Key responsibilities of an occupational therapist include:

• Patient assessment:Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess a patient's physical abilities, functional limitations, and needs related to daily living activities.
• Treatment planning:Developing individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments, including goals and interventions to improve function.
• Therapeutic interventions:Implementing a range of activities and techniques to address specific needs, such as:
• Sensory integration activities
• Motor skills development
• Activities of daily living (ADL) training (bathing, dressing, eating)
• Cognitive rehabilitation exercises
• Adaptive equipment training
• Work hardening programs

• Patient education:Teaching patients and their families about their condition, self-management strategies, and home exercise programs
• Collaboration:Working with other healthcare professionals like physical therapists, physicians, and social workers to coordinate patient care

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) from an accredited program
