Nurse Supervisor

Permanent Role

Gurgaon, India

Role and Responsibilities

He/She will be specialized in managing and supervising a nursing team to create and maintain a high level of patient care while working closely with the Medical Director and the Center Manager at QMC.

Primary Responsibility:

To work closely with Medical Director and Center Manager to ensure all the trainings, protocols and SOPs are adhered to and followed

To ensure performance of the team is kept intact and any training intervention if required are reported on time

To ensure proper documentations and maintain records of the department and responsible for maintaining MIS

Liaising with the corporate team or medical director in the corporate office to ensure all the protocols, processes are adhered to in terms of updates from ministry, process updates, IT updates or any departmental updates

Participates in the recruitment and selection process of nurses

Manage and coordinate nurse schedule and ensure availability of nurse as per operational requirement

Assign duties to nurse and take nursing role

Ensure adherence to all relevant nursing standards and SOPs

Maintain quality assurance of nursing documentation and client records

Create schedules for MIS reports (daily/weekly/monthly) for the management team

Ensure compliance with nursing policies and procedures

Educate and train new nurses

Evaluate nurses’ engagement and performance

Provide clinical expertise in the management of medical emergencies

Respond to medical emergencies appropriately if they arise

Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods

Identifying the training needs of the medical staff and coordinating for imparting the training required like BLS, Infection control etc

Obtaining the medical inventory reports from all the center (daily/weekly/monthly)

Ensuring the adequate deployment of manpower throughout the operational shifts

The evaluation of the staff to be done based on performance on a regular basis, through PMS

Keep a record of the status of staff vaccination (like TD and HBV) and ensure all medical staff are vaccinated

Monitor and ensure the TAT for the nursing staff is adhered to

Ensure the feedback is collected for all the applicants through CSAT devices and monitor the same

Essential Functions:

Adhere to dress code, appearance is neat and clean

Always maintain patient / applicant’s confidentiality

Report to work on time and as scheduled

Maintain regulatory requirements and local regulations

Always represent the organization in a positive and professional manner

Comply with all organizational policies and standards regarding ethical business practices

Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities and undertake QIP’s from time to time

Attend regular staff meetings and in-services

Qualifications, Experience and Education Requirements

Diploma/Degree in Nursing with 5 years of Experience

Registered with the local regulatory body in the Country

Computer Literature

Team Handling is must

Minimum 3 Years of Supervisory experiences

Self-motivated and keen to update his /her scientific base according to the latest publications in the field of interest

Accurate, honest, has high level of humanity and presentable

To maintain a high standard of nursing care

Fluency in written and spoken English

Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information

Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work

Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude
