Nursing staff

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Care and Assessment

• Conduct comprehensive physical assessments of patients upon admission and throughout their stay.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized plans of care based on patient needs, physician orders, and the nursing process.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely, following the six rights of medication administration.
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, laboratory data, and other assessment findings, reporting changes in status promptly to the physician or nursing supervisor.

2. Communication and Collaboration

• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding their condition, plan of care, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, nurse practitioners, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide patient and family education on disease management, health maintenance, and self-care.

3. Documentation and Compliance

• Maintain accurate and complete electronic medical records , ensuring all assessments, interventions, and outcomes are documented in a timely manner.
• Adhere strictly to all infection control policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate inQuality Improvement initiatives and hospital committees as requested.

4. Safety and Professionalism

• Ensure a safe patient environment by using appropriate equipment and adhering to fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and restraint policies.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants as appropriate.
• Maintain professional competency by participating in mandatory in-service programs and continuing education.

Qualification: Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.

Experience:

• Minimum of 1-2 or 3 years of experience in an acute care setting.
