Job Summary:

The Nursing Head is responsible for leading and managing the nursing staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role involves coordinating nursing activities, overseeing clinical practices, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a supportive and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage nursing staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
  
• Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with healthcare regulations and organizational goals.
  
• Ensure compliance with healthcare laws, hospital policies, and quality standards.
  
• Monitor patient care delivery to ensure safety, effectiveness, and patient satisfaction.
  
• Collaborate with physicians, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff to coordinate patient care and optimize workflows.
  
• Manage nursing budgets, supplies, and resources effectively.
  
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance nursing practices and patient outcomes.
  
• Handle conflict resolution and provide mentorship to nursing staff.
  
• Participate in strategic planning and contribute to the overall management of the healthcare facility.
  
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date nursing records and reports.
  

Qualification, Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc), Masters degree (MSc) in Nursing
  
• KNC Registration license in good standing.
  
• Proven experience in nursing leadership or management roles (typically 5+ years).
  
• Strong knowledge of clinical practices, healthcare regulations, and hospital operations.
  
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  
• Proficiency with healthcare software and electronic medical records (EMR).
