NPD Manager (Casting)

Location: Sonipat, Haryana

Salary: ₹50,000 to ₹60,000

Experience: 10 to 15 years in New Product Development (NPD), preferably in casting components

Key Responsibilities

Review feasibility of new products received from customers

Study RFQ drawings and prepare quotations for first-time sample development

Create and manage New Product Development timelines

Prepare PPAP & APQP documentation as per TS 16949 / IATF 16949 or customer-specific requirements

Design new fixtures and tools for improvement projects and new product manufacturing

Design and validate assembly lines for process maturation

Conduct trials on assembly lines to freeze process parameters

Calculate product and project costs for new developments

Prepare machine procurement plans for NPD projects

Perform product and process design using advanced technologies and customer-specified systems

Conduct testing and validation of product and processes

Plan production to meet customer quality and delivery expectations

Participate in problem-solving for tools, fixtures, and processes

Design effective gauges and plan timelines for improvement and NPD projects

Develop new suppliers and prepare related documentation for tools, fixtures, and gauges

Create tool matrices and implement cost-reduction projects for tools and fixtures

Perform fixture verification and validation as per standards

Execute vendor development audit plans

Design plant layouts following FIFO systems to optimize space and reduce manpower

Calculate manufacturing costs and prepare monthly cost-reduction plans

Plan and manage operator skill development programs

Analyze SPC for critical parameters and special characteristics

Evaluate OEE and OLE for critical machinery
